In my third year as a working professional, I came face to face with a nagging sense of unease.

Whether or not someone delivered results, their evaluation and standing were decided by tenure and affiliation — effort and ability were not being fairly rewarded.

This isn't my story alone. Across many organizations in Japan, individual evaluation has long depended less on a person's own achievements than on seniority and the “brand name” of the organization they belong to. As a result, it is precisely those with the highest ambitions who have been unable to fully realize their potential.

But the times are changing dramatically. Advances in technology are making individual expertise easier to see, and the rise of AI is redrawing the way we work itself — from an era of “depending on organizations” to one where “individuals advance on their own.” The assumption that lifetime employment and seniority-based systems will protect us now belongs to the past.

That is precisely why we are building, through technology, a system in which everyone's true ability and achievements are evaluated objectively — regardless of tenure or affiliation — and met with the right opportunities and rewards.
